Together They Become the South Florida Market’s Largest and Most
Reliable Colocation and Managed Service Provider
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WebUnited, one of South Florida’s leading independent providers of high-speed IP transport via Ethernet and data center services, has announced it has been acquired and will merge its operations into those of Host.net, a Boca Raton-based company recently recognized as the ‘Fastest-Growing Tech Company in South Florida’ by the South Florida Business Journal, and listed in the 2007 Inc. 500 at number 251.
As a leading provider of proven Internet access, nationwide transport, colocation, managed security and VoIP services, Host.net is a natural fit with WebUnited, which has provided many of the same services to thousands of customers through three business-class data center facilities located in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The three WebUnited data centers collectively offer more than 7,500 Sq. Ft. of data center space interconnected with high speed fiber transport that enables remotely hosted solutions for its colocation and managed service customers.
“The real winners of this transaction are our customers, who can now benefit from services and support that are second to none in the South Florida market. It has always been our goal to offer the market’s strongest suite of managed services and to serve as a reliable colocation partner,” explains Bucky Wallace, General Manager of WebUnited. “By becoming part of Host.net and merging our operations together, we will become the foremost colocation, network, and managed service provider in South Florida. The combination of facilities and highly trained people will make us stand out as the market’s undisputed leader supporting businesses reliant on enterprise class services.”
Jeffrey Davis, CEO and Co-Founder of Host.net, agrees, “We have been providing this market with world-class service since our inception. It’s a milestone for us to add WebUnited’s customers as well as over 278 Fiber Miles of network capability to ours. We couldn’t be more pleased with this opportunity to provide our customers and prospects greater network alternatives and an even better customer experience.”
The newly combined companies will begin to work immediately to effectively integrate the WebUnited customers. “We have meticulously planned for operational integration of the two companies, and are completely focused on a seamless integration and elimination of any negative customer impact. From this effort we believe all of our customers will benefit from improved services and a stronger, more reliable network,” said Davis.
